After nearly a year of working for a redistributor....

I now understand a few things that I didn't prior to joining my current company.  I worked for manufacturers in the past, redistribution is different.

1. The details really matter

2. Time is precious, act quickly as the wrong behaviors compound rapidly

3. Trust the feeling when something doesn't seem right and take action immediately.  Seek counsel.

4. Price is important but a great service model wins over a great price.

5. People make a huge difference, I am grateful to work with and for awesome people.

6. Building credibility with colleagues takes time and is worth the investment.

7. Supplier relationships are paramount, nothing to sell without a supplier.  Grateful for our partners!

8. Asking an exsiting distributor to change behavior must be focused on value for the distributor!

9. Leading the artful the balance between company goals and distributor adoption is why sales leadership exsits. I will let yo uknow when I master this art:0

10. As a redistributor, your word is your bond-serve the distributor and your suppliers, always.
